Estate Record of Narcissa A. Harris

We the Commissioners appointed by the Probate Judge to make
a division of the Negroes belonging to the estate of Narcissa A. Harris and among heirs at
law, after first levy duly sworn to make a just fair, and equitable division proceed to
divide said slaves into four lots preserving family and making said lot
as nearly equal as could well be made----.
Transcribers Note: The text above notes that Narcissa A. Harris wanted to preserve the family unit, therefore, it can be determined that each lot contained related family members, however, the exact relationship was not noted.
