Orphan Court Record for the Estate of
Jonathan J. Harper


The State of Alabama, Macon County, January 5th, 1849.

We the Commissioners appointed by the Judge of the Orphans Court of Macon County, to divide the personal estate of Jno. Harper Sr. Died among the distribution lean to make the following return before being duly sworn <illegible> to value and divide the said property to the following heirs at law <illegible>with the order from the Orphans Court.

The whole estate was valued at $29,250.

To the widow Frances Harper was first allocated her portion of $5850--
