| GARON, Auguster - Yancey Street, Tuskegee,
died last week in a local hospital. He was a veteran of World War I. Funeral
services were Saturday from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. C. Holsey officiating,
burial in Ashdale Cemetery with McKenzie Funeral Home of Tuskegee directing.
Military honors at graveside. Survivors include his son, George Caron, Tuskegee, a
friend, Katie Lois Green, Tuskegee. The Tuskegee News, March 16, 1978 GENDRAW, Mr. Albert Jr., a former resident
of Montgomery, Alabama, departed this life on Thursday, December 14, 2000 in Atlanta, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday December 20, 2000 at 1:00 PM from the Lee's
Funeral Home Chapel in Montgomery, AL. With the Rev. Calvin McTier officiating. Interment
will follow in the Kindle Cemetery. With Lee's Funeral Home directing. He leaves to mourn
his passing a devoted mother, Susie Gendraw-Sanders of Montgomery, AL. Three sisters,
Ethel Mae Walters of Atlanta, Ga.; Willie Mae and Josie Major of Boston, Ma. Two brothers,
Glen (Louise) Holmes of Tuskegee, AL. and Willie(Missiouri) Grendraw of Boston, Ma. One
uncle, John Bowman of Oakland, Ca. One great uncle, Willie James Duncan Sr. of Montgomery,
AL. 14 nieces, 13 nephews and a host of great nieces, nephews, great-great nieces and
nephews. And a host of other relatives and friends. And a special friend Melody Wortham of
Atlanta, Ga. Montgomery Advertiser, December 18, 2000 GIBSON, Ernestine (Tina), a resident of Tuskegee, died Sunday, April 9, 2000. Funeral was Thursday, April 13, from William Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, with Rev. S. H. Chatman officiating. Interment followed in Ashdale Cemetery. McKenzie's Funeral Home staff directed. Her survivors included: her husband Earmon Gibson, Tuskegee; five children, Anthony Padgett, Tuskegee, James (Sandra) Gibson, Montgomery, Nathalia Gibson and Roderick M. Gibson, both of Tuskegee, and Beryl Gibson, Carrolton, GA; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one sister, Geraldine (Walter) Williams; one brother, James Padgett, both of Tuskegee; three step-daughters; two sisters-in-law; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. The Tuskegee News, April 20, 2000, p. A-7 GLENN, [CORELLUS] Johnnie Lee - 81, of Cleveland, Ohio, died May 31, 1997. Born December 6, 1915 in Hannon, AL to the late Hannah Webb and Harris Cariller. United in holy matrimony to Reggie Glenn. A daughter, Colleen Glenn McClain, preceded her in death. Survivors include a daughter Anne Lee Britt; two grandsons James Glenn (Alycia); a son-in-law, Horace McClain, all of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Jessie Harris; a brother Izear Webb; a sister-in-law, Irene Webb, all of Pennsylvania; five great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, a Nephew, Nephis Chambliss (Susie) all of Cleveland, Ohio. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 5, 1997, at the House of Wills Funeral Chapel, Cleveland Ohio. The Rev. Willie M. Simpson, officiated. Interment in Highland Park Cemetery. GRANT, Mr. Ernest A. Jr, 69,
a resident of Tuskegee Institute, AL, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000 in Tuskegee, AL.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2000 at 11:00 am at The Peoples
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James L. Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Greenwood
Cemetery with The Peoples Funeral Home Directing. He is survived by; his wife of 45 years,
JoAnne T. Grant, Tuskegee, AL; a daughter, Gerrilyn V. (Reginald) Grant Gipson,
Montgomery, AL; a son, Ernest A.(Felicia) Grant III, Tuskegee, AL; a sister, Lynne C. Lee,
Chicago, IL; niece, Pamela Lee, Atlanta, GA; nephew, Scotty (Elissa) Lee, Chicago, IL; and
his beloved granddaughters, DeJuana and Juanita Grant, both of Tuskegee, AL on the
maternal side of the family. He leaves a number of relatives from the descendants of the
late Dr. Nathan Calloway, along with many other bereaved relatives and friends. Montgomery
