Macon County
Know all men by those present that I Sampson Lanier for and in consideration of the sum of
six hundred dollars to me in hand paid (the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged) have
bargained and sold and by these present to bargain and sell to Robert Adams, two certain
Negroes, to wit, Ben a boy about 14 years old and Charlotte a girl about six years
old.
Witness my hand and seal this 12th day February AD 1845.

the personal estate of Robt R. Adam decd certify that the following is a true appraisement
of said estate of all the property exhibited to them by the Admrix
